I haven't seen enough of this series to rate it.

Haven't seen much of it. It really doesn't seem very good, but it's kind of funny for how bad it is (at least the dubbed version; I've no idea what it was like in Japanese). Anyway, it's got great camp value, and it's important as one of the earliest anime to come to America, and as a pop culture reference.

Well, there's this racecar driver named Speed Racer, and he has a little brother named Spritle who has a chimpanzee named Chim Chim, and those two are always getting into mischief. Also I guess Speed's father Pops and girlfriend Trixie are in the show and there's also a mysterious race car driver named Racer X, and Speed and his family have like adventures or something. It's weird. I'd like to be able to say more, so I should probably see more of the series someday.

There was a new version of the show made in 1997, which aired on Nickelodeon in 2002. It had better animation I thought, but I didn't really get a chance to see it. Probably wouldn't have liked it much, I dunno. But I did sort of enjoy the live-action movie Speed Racer, which came out in 2008 (though I didn't see it til 2009, on DVD).
